The Father reigns with providential care over His creation, extending love and grace to all humanity.
The Son, Jesus Christ, is God revealed to us in human form. He existed as the Divine Word before His incarnation, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father and willingly sacrificed Himself as the atonement for humanity’s sins. After His death, He physically rose from the grave, ascended to heaven, and now reigns with the Father. Jesus is the only way to a restored relationship with God. He will return to rule with justice, mercy, and love, bringing restoration to all creation.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, who indwells every believer at the moment of salvation. He convicts the world of sin, empowers believers for worship, evangelism, and service, and provides spiritual gifts to build up the Church. He inspired the writing of Scripture and helps believers understand and apply God’s Word. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, Helper, and Guide who works in the lives of believers to make them more like Christ.
(Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 19:1-3; Ephesians 4:6; John 1:1-5, 1:14, 3:16, 4:24; Romans 8:14-16; Romans 10:9-10; 1 John 5:7; Mark 16:19; Luke 22:69; Matthew 1:18; Luke 3:22; Romans 1:20-23, 3:10-26, 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Peter 4:10-11)
The Church exists to glorify God by making disciples, serving others, and proclaiming the gospel. Local churches gather to worship, pray, study Scripture, baptize new believers, take communion, confess sins, and care for those in need. Every believer has a role in building up the Church by using their spiritual gifts.
Each local church is led by qualified leaders (elders), who are recognized and appointed based on biblical standards. The Church is called to live in unity, love, and truth as it fulfills Christ’s mission in the world.
(Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 2:42-47, 4:32-35; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, 12:27; 1 Timothy 5:17; Titus 1:5-9; James 5:16)
However, through sin and rebellion, humanity fractured that relationship. Sin separates us from God and affects every part of our lives. Because of His great love, God provided a way for us to be restored through Jesus Christ. Every human being is in need of redemption, and every person possesses dignity, worth, and purpose as God’s creation.
(Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-19; Romans 1:19-32; 3:23)
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those who accept Jesus are justified before God, made new creations, and set apart for eternity. Salvation is not just a moment but a lifelong process of sanctification, as the Holy Spirit transforms believers to reflect the character of Christ.
Those who reject God’s provision in Jesus remain in spiritual separation from Him. Believers are called to share the message of salvation with love, grace, and humility, knowing that God alone is the judge of all. As followers of Jesus grow in faith, they increasingly trust Him in all areas of life, and God uses trials and blessings to shape them into His likeness.
At death, believers enter God’s presence to enjoy the perfect relationship with Him for which they were created.
